Days to Maturity: In our online catalog, there is a number of days after vegetable seed names. The number indicates days to maturity for the ripe vegetable. This should help you to determine if a particular plant will give you ripe vegetables before frost in your area. It may tell you that you can grow the plant successfully only if you start the seeds indoors under grow lights a few weeks before outdoor planting time to give it a head-start.

Substitutions: If we run out of a variety of seed you have ordered, our policy is to substitute a similar variety of equal or higher value. Please indicate in the comments section if you will not accept substitutions.

Membership: "Members Only" seeds are only available to our members, who also enjoy other benefits. For information on becoming a member, please see our "Membership" section.

Our Seeds: We sell only high-quality, untreated seeds. As longtime growers, we know that seeds do their best with the cooperation of the weather. If you have a problem with our seeds themselves, not related to Mother Nature, please return any unused seeds or the empty envelope within the same growing season with a brief note explaining the problem. We will refund the purchase price of the seeds.

Our Catalog: Starting with the 2008 growing season we have decided not to print a paper catalog. The significant annual expense threatened our very existence as a small seed company. Also, we cringed at the thought of the waste we were generating: lost trees and the environmental costs of printing and delivering the catalog all over the United States. Soon you will be able to print a downloadable catalog from the website just in case you like to do your seed shopping away from your computer.

Non United States Customers: Customers ordering from outside the United States must pay by credit card and will be charged additional postage.

Garden Wisdom: This section contains interesting tid-bits, helpful hints, recipes, stories, and anecdotes. Please send us yours! This is a wonderful shared source of information.

Hearing From You: This is one of the most rewarding aspects of our business. We will always respond as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours.

Latest News: We provide news on our website that may be interesting and useful to our customers and visitors.
