Zone 10
Zone 10 has the longest growing season with the mildest winters and long summers.
Frost dates are short, with a last frost date of mid to late January and a first frost date of mid to late December means a frost-free growing season from late January to early December. These dates are general guidelines, so watch the weather forecasts before planting.
A very long growing season with an average low temperature of 35°F means almost all vegetables can be grown with some summer shade for heat protection.
