Happy Feet Shea Butter

Shea Butter – 75%

Shea butter originates from nuts of the Shea or Karite tree that grows wild in the African Savannah.

The nuts are picked from the Shea trees, then cracked, lightly roasted, and ground to a powder. This powder is then whipped and kneaded in water until a color change occurs. Warm water is then added, separating the Shea oils which rise to the surface of the kettle.

The oil is collected and slightly heated to remove any remaining water, then filtered into settling basins. The final Shea butter is then packaged and shipped, providing us with a pure, high quality, and natural product. 

Shea butter has the usual moisturizing properties – called fractions – but also has healing properties no other seed oil comes close to. The healing fraction contains the skin nutrients, vitamins and valuable phytonutrients required for healing.

All other seed oils have a healing fraction of less than 1%, while Grade A Shea butter is at least 5 – 9%, but can be as high as 17%.

This is why Shea butter is known as the skin’s best friend!

Palm Kernel Oil – 20%

Palm kernel oil comes from the seed inside the fruit of the African oil palm tree (Elaeis guineensis). The palm kernels are lightly roasted until the oil seeps out. That oil is reddish gold and full of healthy fats that do wonders for the skin. Palm kernel oil contains vitamins A, E, and K – a powerful moisturizing mix. It is also loaded with antioxidants, one of the key ways that palm oil helps protect skin.

Capsaicin – 1%

This is the active component in chile peppers – what makes them hot. At low amounts, it increases blood flow and relieves pain by stimulating the release of compounds that affect how pain is communicated in the body without irritating the skin or giving a burning sensation. 

Garlic Oil – 1%

Valued for centuries for its healing properties, research has repeatedly proven the anti-fungal, antiviral and anti-bacterial properties of garlic oil. Feet live in warm, moist, enclosed shoes which are the perfect environment for fungi and bacteria to thrive in. The garlic oil keeps them at bay, increasing the health and well-being of your feet. 

Essential Oils – 3% combined

Specific essential oils are added for their healing and soothing properties:

  • Lavender (Lavandula augustifolia) is prized for its soothing and calming properties. It relieves pain and enhances blood circulation. 
  • Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata) has antiseptic qualities and is used for healing wounds, cuts, abrasions, and sores. 
  • Peppermint (Mentha piperita) contains menthol, which creates a cooling sensation. It nourishes dull skin and provides pain relief. 
  • Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) has antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, and fungicide properties. Its powerful antioxidant qualities heal and protect the skin.

Applying Happy Feet Shea Butter

How to Use

Happy Feet is best applied after bathing or showering when your feet are clean, soft and warm. 

Start with a pea size amount on each foot, working it in thoroughly and paying particular attention to where your foot hurts. Make sure to work it in on the outside edges and ball of your heel, the arch area and spending a couple of moments working it into the section between the toes and the ball of your foot. 

Not only does this work the Happy Feet in and start the healing and soothing process, but the massaging action relaxes you and helps you fall asleep faster. 

Put some light socks on afterward and wash your hands. 

Now, sit back and relax or simply go to sleep. You’ll awake refreshed with your feet feeling like they’ve been gently massaged all night.
